How to reheat pizza and keep its texture

Have a few slices left after sharing pizza? How you reheat them changes the result: the microwave is quick but can leave the base soft. A skillet, oven or air fryer usually preserves the texture better.
In a skillet: practical for one or two slices
Place the pizza in a skillet over medium-low heat, without adding oil. Heat for a few minutes and check the base.
When it starts to firm up, briefly cover the skillet to help heat the toppings and melt the cheese. Lower the heat if the base browns before the top is hot.
In the oven: useful for several slices
Preheat the oven to about 180 °C. Place the slices on a tray and heat for approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
The time depends on the thickness, toppings and your oven. Check while heating: aim for hot cheese and a firm base without drying out the edges.
In an air fryer: start with a short time
Place the slices in a single layer without stacking them. Try about 160–170 °C for 3–5 minutes and check the result.
Each appliance heats differently. Add time gradually to avoid burning the cheese.
What if you only have a microwave?
Use short intervals and check between them. It is a quick option, although the base will usually be softer.
If you have a skillet available afterward, you can finish reheating there to restore some firmness.
