Want to try your favorite pizza a different way? At PizzAventuras, you can order any pizza on our menu as a calzone. We use the same amount of ingredients as the pizza; what changes is how we assemble and bake it.

What makes our calzone special?

We stretch the dough just as we would for a regular pizza and place it on a pizza baking mesh. We spread marinara sauce or white sauce and cheese over the base, then arrange all the chosen pizza toppings on one half of the dough. We fold the empty half over the filling and seal the edge, like a large empanada. The filling cooks inside the dough as it bakes.

How we make each calzone

  1. Stretch the dough. We shape it and set it on a pizza baking mesh.
  2. Add the base. We spread marinara or white sauce and cheese, just as we do for a pizza.
  3. Add the toppings to one half. We use the same amount of ingredients as the pizza you choose; it is not a pizza with less filling.

  1. Fold and seal. We fold the empty half over the toppings and seal the edge by hand. If you like, we can seal it with cheese for a cheese-stuffed crust.

We seal the calzone by hand; a cheese-stuffed edge is also available.
  1. Make steam vents. We cut three or four small slits in the top so steam can escape while it cooks.
  2. Bake it. We put it in the oven until the dough and filling are cooked through.

The small cuts let steam escape during baking.
  1. Finish and serve. We place it in a pizza box, cut it into four or five pieces, and brush the top with garlic and olive oil. We serve it with two small portions of marinara for dipping.
